Libraries offer fun during Lego days

January 25, 2014

Legos are a favorite toy for children and adults alike. Parents like the blocks because they spark kids’ imaginations. Children like them because they’re great for building. At the Ceres library on Thursday, lil’ Legomaniacs ages 4 to 12 used the blocks to build creations for display in the library. The Stanislaus County Library often has Lego days. Playing with the blocks helps children develop fine motor skills. Several more Lego days are planned at county library branches this month and next:

•  Ceres at 3 p.m. Feb. 13 and Feb. 27

• Turlock at 3:30 p.m. Monday and Feb. 24

•  Patterson at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 5

• Hughson at 3 p.m. Feb. 12.
