We adults are quick to criticize teenagers for misdeeds and slow to praise them for a job well done.
On Nov. 7, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippine Islands, killing over 6,000 and resulting in 2 million being instantly homeless. It was a terrible tragedy that will require years of recovery. Shortly after the typhoon hit, students and staff at Gregori High School, led by teacher Lindy Findlen, took up a collection to help the Haiyan victims. They quickly raised almost $500 that has been applied to the relief effort through Seeds of Dignity Ministries.
Their generosity is helping many people, whom they do not know and will probably never meet, to rebuild their homes and lives! What an awesome job!
