— Seniors in the Ceres High School Manufacturing Production and Green Technology Academy installed their second solar system of the school year, this one at a home in Turlock.

The 11 students worked with the not-for-profit solar installer Grid Alternatives on a 3,700-watt system for a family in need that met income and sweat-equity criteria.

At the Expedition Street house, the students put in the racking system and electrical wiring Tuesday; they installed the solar panels and connected the wiring Wednesday.
