A look at the calender shows it’s the midst of winter. But a look out the window makes it seem more like spring.
The warm, dry conditions that have plagued the Northern San Joaquin Valley are projected to continue for at least the next week, with highs 15 to 20 degrees above normal, according to the National Weather Service.
A weak system moved in to the area over the weekend, with a few spots reporting a bit of rainfall on Saturday. A similar forecast lies ahead for the coming weekend, but again any precipitation likely will remain to the north and in the mountain areas.
In the meantime, forecasters call for morning frost and possible fog before 10 a.m. with highs closing in on 70 and lows in the mid-30s.
