Douglas Wilson: Wasting time in Congress

Wasting time in Congress

In response to the letter “No vote? No help” (Letters, Jan. 6): I have had the same experience. I have seen members of Congress propose bills that have no effect on their districts and are way off base on issues that affect those of us who live in that district. You cannot contact them to inform them that they are wasting valuable time that could be spent on other issues in Congress. Sometimes all I want to do is point out that there is already a law and to stop wasting the time of the people working in Congress.
