— A man who was rescued from a burning home in Modesto died from his injuries Saturday, authorities said.

Battalion Chief Randy Anderson of the Modesto Regional Fire Authority said firefighters who responded at 7:30 p.m. Friday pulled the man from a window of the small home in the 200 block of Floto Street, east of McHenry Avenue. He was resuscitated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital.

Anderson said the victim was in his late 50s. His name was not released.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which did not look suspicious, Anderson said.
