John Langley: Not Bush-bashing, just the facts

December 19, 2013

I read the letter “Don’t forget, Bush kept us safe” (Dec. 18) in your paper about how safe our country was under George W. Bush. Seems to me someone forgot about 9/11 and the near 3,000 lives lost in the twin towers. Selective memory, give a second or two, let’s not forget our sons and daughters who are being maimed and dying in Iraq and Afghanistan. I will admit, he kept some safe and healthy. I hear Halliburton is still making billions and billions. Selective memory; not Bush bashing, just fact.
