Chocolates are nearly always welcome as a gift. Here’s a way to buy them and help raise money for a nonprofit hospital in Turlock. Throughout the holiday season, we are offering suggestions of gifts of $20 or less, available at local merchants.

Description: Get some chocolate and do some good. Pre-wrapped with red and gold holiday paper, the 1-pound box is available in milk chocolates, soft centers, assorted chocolates, nuts and chews, and/or bridge mix.

About the store: The gift shop at Emanuel is operated by the Volunteer Auxiliary of Emanuel and offers See’s Candy, balloons, plants, jewelry, cards, magazines, books, stuffed animals, baby items and many other gifts.

Pertinent info: The store is on the first floor of Emanuel Medical Center, 825 Delbon Ave., Turlock. Open 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. (209) 664-5195
