Winter Wonderland at Calaveras Big Trees on Dec. 27

— Snow is on the ground and the Christmas tree in Jack Knight Hall is decorated for the biggest event of the winter at Calaveras Big Trees State Park.

The fourth annual Winter Wonderland celebration, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m Dec. 27, includes a wagon ride a concert in the woods, weather permitting.

There will also be crafts for kids, holiday music, hot cocoa and cider and cookies.

Tickets are for $12.50 for adults and $8.50 for children at winter2013.eventsbot.com. The price includes park entrance.

Tickets at the door will cost $15 for adults and $10 for children, plus $10 for park admission. Proceeds go toward educational and interpretive programs at the park.
