STANISLAUS COUNTY — Stanislaus County law enforcement agencies are beginning a winter mobilization campaign against drunk drivers tonight.
Through the holiday season, police and California Highway Patrol officers and sheriffs deputies will be conducting aggressive enforcement to keep roads safe for holiday travelers, according to a news release Thursday from the countys Avoid the 12 task force. This weekends enforcement will include:
• A drivers license and DUI checkpoint tonight and Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. in the city of Modesto
• DUI saturation patrols tonight and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Modesto, Oakdale, Ceres and Riverbank
• DUI saturation patrols Sunday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Modesto and Ceres
