Holiday concert sets the mood in Sonora

— Get into the holiday spirit with the “It’s a Big Band Christmas” concert in Sonora on Sunday.

The concert will feature jazzy big band and vocal arrangements of favorite Christmas songs, including “Deck the Halls,” “Jingle Bells,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Themes From a Charlie Brown Christmas,” “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Let It Snow,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Winter Wonderland” and “The Nutcracker.”

The show starts at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Columbia College Dogwood Theater, 11600 Columbia College Drive.

Tickets are $15 and available at the door.

The college will provide a shuttle from the staff parking lot to the Dogwood Theater building beginning at 1:30 p.m.
