Jennifer Barney: Don’t Modesto officers have to follow the law?

December 2, 2013

On Nov. 25, around 5 p.m., I was driving home and I pulled up behind a police vehicle in a turn lane. This vehicle did not have on its blinker. I was behind this officer during three turns in which he or she (I could not tell) did not use the blinker a single time. Do the Modesto police get to break the law? I know if I had been in front of the officer’s vehicle and did not use my blinker, I would have been pulled over. Just wondering.
