Pati Wessling-Hayes: Modesto panhandlers disappeared with store

November 27, 2013

Has anyone else noticed the smaller number of homeless people hanging out at Graceda Park? Originally, I was sorry to see Save Mart close. Not now. The population hanging around the store asking for handouts has gone.

I’m sorry for the people in real need, not the pushy ones. Hopefully the park can come back to the children. I have noticed Starbucks is a much cleaner, friendlier place to visit. Ralston Tower residents must be so happy, now that they can enjoy their outside patios again. How about Mr. Pickle's for lunch? Hopefully we will get more businesses at Lincoln Center, maybe a drugstore or even a hardware business.
