SAN ANDREAS — A Turlock man suffered moderate injuries after the truck he was riding in crashed near San Andreas.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Dylan Fredenburg, 22, was riding in a 2008 Ford F-150 when the accident occurred at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. Johnathan Nuno, 19, also of Turlock, was driving the truck north on Highway 49 when, the CHP says, he claimed he fell asleep.
The truck missed a curve in the road, went onto the shoulder and hit a tree and a barbed-wire fence before coming to rest. Fredenburg suffered moderate injuries to his face and head and was taken to Mark Twain Hospital for treatment. Nuno was not hurt.
Authorities say they dont believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
