Central West Ballet has opened its Liz and Royal Robbins Studio, a new space in the same Pentecost Avenue business park as the Modesto ballet companys offices and rehearsal studio.
The new studio, funded by a contribution from climbing legend Royal Robbins and his wife, Liz, will let CWB expand its core of dancers and offer more dance classes to the community.
We will be able to offer more special events and training classes in the studio and run the company more efficiently, Central West Artistic Director René Daveluy said in a news release. It is an important step for the future vision of our organization. Thursday evening, the dance company held an open house, a reception for the Robbinses and a sneak preview of its upcoming production of The Nutcracker.
