The California School Boards Association has awarded a Golden Bell to the Engineering and Robotics Pathway at Beyer High School, one of 59 programs honored statewide.
The award recognizes innovative and sustainable educational programs. Beyers program focuses on solving problems as a way to learn skills and developing independent thinkers. It truly is a college and/or career program, giving students great options following their high school diploma, said Beyer Principal Dan Park.
Program developers Liliana Lazo and Heidi Pagani will receive the award at a ceremony Dec. 7 in San Diego.
