Rosemary Lindsey: Various types of veterans get overlooked

November 9, 2013

I am a veteran of what is called the Cold War. These veterans get overlooked because of a so-called peace. The Korean War veterans are also overlooked, but they were in combat so they are getting the needed recognition they deserve.

Remember all veterans, whether in combat or not. That also includes all women, men and let’s not forget the animals that help the military, both the K-9s and horses. They were and are a vital part of the military. When you see a veteran or someone who you might think is a veteran, thank them for their service.
