Performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’

Good Company Players presents “A Christmas Carol” through Dec. 22, at 2nd Space Theatre, 928 E. Wellness seminar

A wellness seminar is scheduled to take place 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Fellowship Hall of the SDA Church, 2222 E. Olive Ave., Merced. The health seminar will teach how to prevent or reverse many of today’s lifestyle diseases. This program emphasizes choices and shows how to strengthen your social and family relationships, and cultivate a more meaningful spiritual life. Bring your appetite, a friend and a $10 donation. History of the Yosemite Valley Railroad

Jack Burgess of Newark will provide a program on the history of the Yosemite Valley Railroad, a 77-mile railroad system that used to connect people from Merced to Yosemite Valley. This will take place at noon Nov. 13 at the Merced Rotary Club meeting at Branding Iron. The cost is $15 and lunch is included.

Merced ShakespeareFest auditions
