Because of todays election, the Modesto City Council has postponed its meeting by one day and will meet Wednesday. The meetings agenda includes accepting $43.8million in state funding for the Highway 99-Pelandale Avenue interchange project and adopting a new resolution for a housing project, adding the requirement that the project preserve agricultural land as required by the Stanislaus Local Agency Formation Commission. The projects developer is asking for the modification for his Woodglen Specific Plan, which proposes to build more than 500 housing units in north Modesto. More information about these and other agenda items is available at http://modestogov.com/ccl/agendas. The council meeting is at 5:30 p.m. in the basement chamber of Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St.
