It looks like a mild and sunny day followed by a cool but clear evening ahead for the trick-or-treaters who will hit the sidewalks in search of Halloween candy. But the first weekend in November will bring about a significant drop in temperatures, forecasters say.
The National Weather Service predicts a high of 72 degrees today in Modesto, with lows dropping into the high 40s tonight. Breezes of about 5 mph should drop off by evening.
Come the weekend however, a Pacific weather system will move through the area, bringing cooler temperatures but not much chance of rain in the Northern San Joaquin Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday’s high is expected to be about 75, with Sunday’s high nearly 10 degrees cooler. Early next week looks like more of the same.
