Firing Modesto High campus monitor wrong

October 29, 2013

Regarding “Board votes to fire campus monitor at Modesto High” (Oct.25, Page B2): Let me get this straight: A fight breaks out, the campus supervisor does her job by breaking up the fight, someone gets hurt but is not bleeding and does not require medical care but the campus supervisor gets fired?

I have known Jackie Munn for several years. Both my boys went to MHS, and Jackie does not deserve this. I have seen her interact with the students on campus. She is one of the people who make this school great and safe. Next time should they just walk away? What kind of harm would have come to this student if the fight had not been broken up?

Jackie cares about all the students and her love of Modesto High is obvious. The kids all love her. This is so wrong on so many levels.
