Oakdale police are seeking a white male suspect who robbed Oak Valley Community Bank on Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., a man entered the bank, at 125 N. Third Ave., and demanded money from a teller, using a note on what appeared to be a napkin.
While the money was being gathered by the teller, the suspect reached over the counter and took it from her hand. He then fled the bank. A weapon was implied, according to a news release from Oakdale police Officer Ben Savage, but at no point did the suspect display a weapon to the teller.
The suspect was described as 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-8, 180 to 210 pounds, with dark hair. He was wearing a white, long-sleeve shirt, dark gray shorts with a light plaid pattern, black socks, and black shoes with a white stripe.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Savage at (209) 847-2231, ext. 3327, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
