Police arrested an Oakdale man early Monday after he allegedly claimed to have a bomb and set it off.
According to a news release, a woman called Oakdale police and reported that Richard Sisk had called her, saying he had a bomb and planned to detonate it.
As police set up a perimeter outside Sisk’s home, he left the apartment. Police arrested him at about 12:15 a.m. A search of the apartment revealed a homemade destructive device, police said.
The Stanislaus County Bomb Sqaud responded and took possession of the device. Sisk, 28, was booked into Stanislaus County Jail on charges of making a false bomb report and possession of a destructive device.
