Stanislaus County police officers, sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers will be cracking down on drivers under the influence of alcohol and drugs as part of the Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over program. The Avoid the 12 Stanislaus County DUI Task Force will be deploying additional DUI saturation patrols starting Sunday and will continue daily through Oct. 31. The Avoid the 12 program consists of the 12 law enforcement agencies in the county. Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
