Reg Smith: Small-minded politics in D.C.

October 15, 2013

Are you kidding me? The Obama administration has decided they own our national parks, our public memorials, and our recreation areas – even privately owned places such as the Cliff House in San Francisco.

The Obama administration enforcesits point by monetary fines, at gunpoint in Yellowstone, by restricting our ability to even look at our national treasures, arresting our veterans – and the list goes on and on.

This is small-minded politics – “these are my toys, not yours, and you cannot play with them” politics. They should be embarrassed. These are mostly nature preserves or memorials, after all, and shutting them down has required more work than just leaving them open to the public.

I am not holding the Republicans responsible for this action, and it does give us all a lot of insight into how the Obama administration views us, the citizens of the United States.
