Obama delays law when it suits him

October 11, 2013

Some people are calling on congressional Republicans to do their duty to pass the spending resolution, but at the same time seem to be overlooking the violations of the Constitution that the president has made.

The hue and cry is that the Affordable Care Act was passed by Congress and reaffirmed by the Supreme Court, so it must be implemented. However, the president, without any constitutional authority, has delayed implementation of certain parts to suit his own political agenda. Nowhere have I ever heard that the president has the power to determine which parts of a law will or won’t be enforced. If it was OK that the president unilaterally delayed the employer mandate until 2015, which just happens to be after the 2014 midterm elections, then why don’t we delay the entire law until 2015?

Obamacare has already shown itself to be a job killer, increase premiums and be very unpopular with just about everyone including big labor. The hypocrisy of those on the left will never cease to amaze me. If they had an ounce of integrity, they would be calling for the full implementation of Obamacare with no delays or exemptions.
