Today is the 22nd annual International Heritage Festival, an event that is delightfully nonpolitical in contrast to district elections and whats been going on in Washington, D.C., this week. The festival has been in several locations over the years. The 2013 version will be at the Modesto Junior College East Campus on College Avenue. As with previous festivals, it will feature music, dance, childrens crafts, heritage displays and, of course, lots of food.
Representatives from two sister cities will be among the guests. The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. More information is at www.InternationalFestivalModesto.org.
