Modesto High School spins 'Web' this weekend

— Modesto High School theater students this weekend will present “Charlotte’s Web,” the beloved children’s tale of a pig, Wilbur, who becomes famous with the help of his clever friend Charlotte, a spider.

Modesto High is the home of the Performing Arts Academy for Modesto City Schools. The actors, technicians, designers and crew are all Modesto High students. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the school auditorium, 18 H St.

Tickets are available at the door: $3 for kids up to sixth grade, $5 for seventh- through 12th-grade students and $7 for adults. The box office is open 30 minutes prior to curtain.
