Car's fluid trail leads to arrest

— A steady dribble from a stolen car, stripped of some parts and found by Legion Park, led Modesto police to what investigators said was a chop shop in the Airport District.

An officer on patrol spotted the 1996 Honda sedan at the foot of Tioga Drive, then followed the trail of fluid for four blocks to a home in the 1700 block of Bonnie Brae Avenue, said Lt. Brian Findlen.

There, the officer arrested Danny Porter, 33, on suspicion of auto theft, operating a chop shop and violating his probation.
