Benefit car wash

Crossroads of Merced will hold a benefit car wash from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Merced High School, 205 W. Olive Ave. Proceeds will benefit men in recovery.

Christmas carol music

Youth soccer clinics

The city of Merced’s recreation department will offer youth soccer clinics on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bernasconi Park Oct. 2-23. Cost is $35 for the full session or $10 per day. Registration required. Call (209) 385-6298 or go to Parks and Community Services, 678 W. 18th St.

Line dancing classes

The city of Merced’s recreation department will offer dance lessons at 7 p.m. Oct. 2-23. The theme for October is line dances and party dances. Cost is $16 registration fee and $6 supply fee. Call (209) 385-6298 or register at Parks and Community Services, 678 W. 18 St.

Harvest of Love event

St. Anthony and Immaculate Conception churches in Atwater will hold their annual Harvest of Love dinner/dance at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at 1420 Third St. The event includes a steak dinner, silent and live auctions, dessert auction, music by Chico Avila and dancing until midnight. Call (209) 394-4975.

SPCA enchilada dinner

The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will have a take-out enchilada dinner from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 10 at Los Panchos Restaurant, 2971 G St. Tickets are $10. VFW blood drive

Flu immunization clinics
