Illegal immigration solution

September 26, 2013

Unlike our politicians, both Republican and Democrat, I have a pork-free, three-part solution to the immigration issue.

First, let’s secure the borders, both north and south, as best and as fast as we can. This could be accomplished by using all sources: drones, boots on the ground and fencing ... no other fixes till this is up and running.

Second, I think we can all agree those 11million illegals (I know politically incorrect) that are already living here are not going to be suddenly deported. So, what can we do?

Well, anyone who entered illegally above the age of 18 and has no criminal history will be issued a permanent green card. This person can never become a citizen. This is to respect the many millions who came here through the legal process.

Anyone who entered under the age of 18 and has no criminal history would be eligible to become a U.S. citizen.

All must enroll and complete an English or English as a second language class.

Third, set up a guest worker program mandating employers use E-Verify, pay a competitive wage, overtime, and provide housing and health coverage while they are working in the states.
