Turlock dedicates public safety SITE

September 24, 2013

— The city of Turlock will celebrate its new Public Safety Facility with a public dedication Friday afternoon. The 57,000-square-foot, $30 million building houses the police department and fire administration, combining some of the support staff for the two agencies.

In all, 124 Police Department employees and four Fire Department administrators will work in the building, which is next to the Carnegie Arts Center. The dedication is set for 4:30 p.m. Friday at the facility at Broadway and Olive Avenue. An open house is planned from 10a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct.26.

That event will include a free barbecue, SWAT demonstrations, bike safety equipment giveaways and more.
