Verizon Wireless and nonprofit iKeepSafe are launching BEaPRO Digital Literacy for Families.
The program provides free workshops to kindergarten through 12th-grade educators to teach parents and students critical life skills for safe and responsible use of digitally connected devices.
Participants train to deliver one-hour workshops that cover balance, ethics, privacy, reputation and online safety in use of digital devices. Participating schools also receive presentation materials, videos, handouts and giveaways for attendees, as well as pizza and beverages, all at no cost.
BEaPRO will be available to a limited number of schools during the 2013-14 school year on a first-come, first-served basis. Educators can contact Ethan Parry of iKeepSafe at email@example.com or (703)717-9066.
