Stanislaus volleyball nets upset victory

— Three Warriors turned in double-double performances to help the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team pull off an upset 3-2 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday.

After taking the first two sets and dropping the next two, the Warriors won a thriller in the fifth to earn their first conference victory of the season. The Warriors improved to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the CCAA after the 25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 19-25, 15-11 win.

Blair Ehrlich had 11 kills in the first two sets to finish with 19 kills and 16 digs for her fifth double-double. Paige Walker put away 13 and had 15 digs, and Jocelyn Cervantes had 14 kills and 13 digs.

After opening the season with 11 straight away contests, the Warriors will finally play at home next weekend. They will host UC San Diego on Friday at 7 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Arena.
