Gregori football suffers first loss of season, 40-28 in Galt

— Alex Labanon rushed for 121 yards three touchdowns but the Gregori High football suffered its first loss of the season, 40-28 to Liberty Ranch on Thursday night.

After the two teams were tied at 7 after one quarter, the Jaguars gave up 19 unanswered points in the second period and trailed 26-7 at halftime.

But Labanon and Gregori responded, scoring three second-half touchdowns to make it close.

Andrew Nash ran for 57 yards on 11 carries and Matt Vargas caught two passes, inlcuding a 65-yarder for Gregori.
