Hughson to hold Walk for Love

September 14, 2013

— The Hughson Harvest Festival will present the second annual Walk for Love on Sept. 22 at the Hughson High School track.

All proceeds will benefit local nonprofits that serve the needy. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. as walkers begin around the track after an opening ceremony.

This is a walk-a-thon event with music, food and fun, and is open to the public. All money raised goes directly to the nonprofits involved, with zero administration costs, organizers say.

Among the participating charities are United Samaritans, Danielle’s Gift, 4-H, Ciara’s Circle, Hughson Christian School, Hughson Family Resource Center and Hughson Youth Football.

There are many ways to get involved. Anyone interested in participating or getting more information should contact Christina Staack at (209) 765-1825 or (209) 883-1779.
