MODESTO — A job fair will be held Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Modesto Centre Plaza downtown.
The Central Valley Job Fair is presented by Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Turlock, in conjunction with the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance.
The organization helps connect employers with job seekers and provide an opportunity for face-to-face meetings.
The event will feature Central Valley employers seeking new hires in a wide range of fields. Employers will be accepting résumés and meeting with applicants throughout the fair.
Denhams office also is working with Brandman University, part of Chapman University, to provide a variety of workshops and seminars for prospective job applicants.
On Wednesday, the week before the fair, Brandman University will hold a résumé clinic and a series of workshops to help job seekers appropriately identify the best practices to present themselves to employers. The workshops will cover interview strategies and online job search strategies.
Brandman University also will hold a workshop focused exclusively on helping veterans and active-duty military service members learn to translate their skills into benefits for the workplace.
Those interested in the Brandman University résumé clinic and workshops or registering for the Central Valley Job Fair may visit http://denham.house.gov/central-valley-job-fair-2013 for more information.
