Gordon Brand, Jr. closed with a 4-under 68 on Sunday to earn a 1-stroke win at the WINSTONgolf Senior Open.
Brand, who won for the second time on the European Senior Tour, finished at 12-under-par 204 on the WINSTONopen Course.
The 55-year-old birdied the first for the third straight day, but gave that shot back when he bogeyed the fourth. He came back with four birdies in a 6- hole span from the sixth to the 11th to jump to 12-under.
Brand stumbled to a bogey at the 15th, but erased that error with a birdie on the 16th. He parred the last two to seal the win.
Andrew Oldcorn fired an 11-under 61 to grab a share of second at minus-11. He was joined there by David J. Russell (67) and Angel Franco (69). Oldcorn had 11 birdies through 15 holes, but parred the final three. Russell also had a bogey-free round, while Franco jumped into a share of second thanks to an eagle on the par-5 17th.
Peter Fowler closed with a 66 to end at 10-under-par 206. He was joined there by Paul Eales (67), Steen Tinning (68) and Philip Golding (69).
