Jeep goes into Dry Creek in Modesto

A woman suffered minor injuries when she drove a Jeep down a Dry Creek embankment along Scenic Drive on Sunday morning, the Modesto Regional Fire Authority reported.

The vehicle swerved on gravel about half a mile west of Claus Road shortly after 10 a.m., Battalion Chief Cecil Ridge said.

The driver was not identified. A chihuahua in the Jeep also was rescued.
