A spiritual labyrinth is close by

August 30, 2013

A recent article did a wonderful job of both covering the building of a labyrinth in Fresno and explaining its use as a spiritual tool. However, local residents don’t need to wait a couple months or travel to Fresno to experience a labyrinth. We created a labyrinth at our church, Light of Christ Lutheran in Turlock. Our hope is that it will be utilized by the community.

Light of Christ is at 4510 Crowell Road, and the labyrinth is outside on our church grounds and always accessible. You are welcome to walk the prayer labyrinth at any time. We do have guided labyrinth walks for the community the second Sunday of each month at 7 p.m. At these walks, we lift up a concern or prayer focus.

On Sept. 8, the theme will be the well-being of firefighters. We invite you to experience the labyrinth as an aid to meditation and prayer, a place to seek peace, centering and healing. For more, call (209) 632-5683.
