Mentoring orientation

Love Inc. will hold an orientation on Sept. 4 for those interested in participating in its mentoring program. Love Plus will begin Sept. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and continue on Wednesday evenings until Dec. 18. Transportation and child care available. Ministry workshop set

Joni and Friends, a Christian organization founded by Joni Eareckson Tada, will present Through the Roof, a workshop on disability ministry from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at First Church of God, 3022 N. Parsons Ave. This is a free event. For more information, call (209) 563-1008.

Kingdom Quest Family

Kingdom Quest Family Night will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 10. Dinner, parenting class, Bible study, crafts, games and music for all ages will be offered at 2916 N. McKee Road. Deadline for registration is Sept. 6. Call (209) 383-3301.

Hospice gala planned

Hinds Hospice will hold its annual gala on Sept. 27 at Vista Ranch and Cellars. There will be music, dancing, a raffle, a poker run and auctions along with dinner and wine. Tickets are $75 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available and all proceeds will benefit the Merced Hinds Hospice. Anyone interested in volunteering or donating a raffle prize should call (209) 383-3123 or visit www.hindshospice.org/2013-gala-merced.html. Donations are needed for the bake auction.

Class of '73 reunion

The Atwater High School Class of 1973 will hold its 40th reunion on Sept. 20 and 21. All events associated with the reunion will be casual. For more information, call (209) 383-46651.
