MSPCA meets monthly

The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will not meet the first Monday in September because it is a holiday. Free BMX ride night

ATWATER — Atwater PAL hosts free BMX ride nights through October from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at Veterans Park. Kids ages 6 to 17 are invited. Bikes and helmets are available at no charge.

Picnic with the AARP

Pasta dinner fund-raiser

There will be a pasta dinner fund-raiser at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Five Ten Bistro, 510 W. Main St. Tickets are $25 per person and include a pasta dinner, music and no-host bar. Cheerleader breakfast
