Three hurt when car, motorcycle collide

August 25, 2013

— A 41-year-old Modesto man suffered major injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:25 p.m. at Crows Landing and Bradbury roads between Turlock and Patterson. Marie Pinheiro, 61, was driving a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am south on Crows Landing while Timothy Rahe was riding a 1996 Kawasaki motorcycle north.

Pinheiro did not see Rahe's motorcycle approaching and turned left toward Bradbury into its path, the report said.

The motorcycle and car collided, ejecting Rahe. He suffered major injuries and was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Pinheiro and a 14-year-old passenger in her car suffered minor injuries and were taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Modesto.

Investigation into the crash continues, the CHP said, but drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
