Shut by water leak, Stanislaus County Library reopens

The Modesto library will be open to the public again today, a county library spokeswoman said.

A leak in the downtown library's main water line closed the 1500 I St. building on Thursday.

Spokeswoman Susan Lilly said Friday a contractor repaired the line near the 15th Street entrance to the parking lot and water service was restored. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
