Lawful man sets fine example

August 23, 2013

To the young man who had his license plate stolen while at work (Letters, Aug. 15): I would like to commend him and his family for doing the right thing, for not driving until your vehicle became legal once more.

We have a neighbor who has two family vehicles, both of which have no license plates front or back for months now, and both he and the children's mother drive both vehicles freely. I am sure he has been reported, but he seems to be the exception to the law obviously and/or he has friends in high places? Oh did I mention he is a law enforcement officer?

Perhaps you can take solace in knowing you left a positive impression on a Bee reader by being frustrated for the inconvenience but you proved the adage, that two wrongs don't make a right. How refreshing, someone doing the right thing.
