Stanislaus County home values jump from 2012

— Stanislaus County home prices are soaring this summer, jumping $5,000 this July to a median sales price of $180,000.

That's 30.4 percent — or $42,000 — above what houses sold for a year ago, according to just-released information from DataQuick.

San Joaquin County prices increased even more, jumping to a median $230,000. That's 39.4 percent — or $65,000 — more than July 2012. Tuolumne County prices are more stable.

The median-priced home there sold for $165,000 in June and July. That's up 13.8 percent — for $20,000 — compared with a year ago.
