Firefighters were battling a 60-acre wildfire between the Parrotts Ferry Road Bridge and Murphys on Saturday.
The fire started about 10 a.m. and was at 10 percent containment as of nearly 7 p.m., according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The bridge crosses New Melones Lake. About 150 firefighters from multiple agencies were on scene.
No structures had been threatened, and there was no estimate of when the fire would be contained.
Modesto, Ceres and Oakdale were sending brush rigs to the fire.
