We have spoken about gay marriage

August 16, 2013

When voters place a referendum on the ballot, not once but twice, and twice voters overwhelmingly said yes for Proposition 8, the people have spoken.

When Gov. Jerry Brown and Attorney General Kamala Harris decide they don't like the vote, thumb their noses at the voters and refuse to defend and uphold the people in a court of law, that's tyranny. This is serious! The governor and attorney general work for the people, not against the people; they must be held accountable. It's time for impeachment.

This has nothing to do with gay marriage, but the rule of law. We know Brown, now serving an illegal third term as governor, has no respect for the law! Are we going to allow Sacramento politicians rob us of our vote?

Editor's Note: Jerry Brown first served as governor from 1975 to 1983, before the term limits initiative was passed in 1990.
