• MARINE CORPS LEAGUE MEETING

Info: Modesto Detachment No. 019 Marine Corps League is holding a general meeting. It is open to Marine and Fleet Marine Force corpsmen veterans and requires DD-214 proof of service with an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps. Annual dues are $50. Info: The Westside Animals for Adoption event will feature a number of dogs including Mitzi, a Jack Russell terrier; Aida, a fun, 10-month-old rottweiler mix; and Sheba, a German shepherd-Queensland mix. Info: Attend part one of the two-part series of public outreach meetings for the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy. Listening sessions will provide:

• An overview of the plan ("What is the Regional Transportation Plan and How Does It Affect Me?")

• An interactive audience participation survey on attendees' priorities for transportation in San Joaquin County

• Information on what to expect at upcoming workshops where four possible regional scenarios will be discussed and evaluated
