Woodward Reservoir is not a dump

July 21, 2013

I've been enjoying Woodward Reservoir for more than 40 years and I've never seen it so trashy. The condition of the campsites was appalling. Garbage cans and Dumpsters are plentiful and yet so many people couldn't make that short walk to properly dispose of their trash. Shame on you.

And leaving your chicken and rib bones strewn everywhere is unacceptable. No wildlife is going to clean them up; but my dog found them. I (and others coming in after you) should not have to clean a campsite before we enjoy it. Show respect and clean up after yourselves.

If the Dumpsters are full, then take your trash home with you; after all, you brought it in. Woodward is a beautiful place to enjoy the water and witness many varieties of birds and fowl. Please show more respect and clean up after yourselves.
